Carp Fishing Live! Fast and Furious (underwater video)

Underwater video related to carp fishing. I was planning to test two variations of hair rigs with sweet corn and artificial corn. It turned out those post-spawn carp were biting fast and furious, and I got excellent footage and many carp runs.

Awesome how the secondary task of capturing video interferes with the primary task of capturing carp!

    @admacdo2009 LOL! Quite true!

1:09 camera pwnage,by the way is it impossible to catch carp while their spawning?Ive tried a few times this spring and whenever their spawning I never catch…

  4. JeromeMoisand

@ChrisH11515 It is possible to catch the odd carp while they’re spawning, but they clearly have something else in mind… ;-)

i don’t know whats up with the carps here, they won’t seem to bite

  6. Duckmeista

It’s always the smaller carp that run REALLY fast!

Great videos :) , i seem to find it hard to tell how big the carp are, theirs nothing to compare them to! How big was the biggest that day? :)

  8. JeromeMoisand

@SlayerSpartanUk The camera magnifies a lot. I didn’t weigh any fish that day, but they are usually between 4 to 12 pounds, with the occasional bigger one.

Its interesting how moving the rig a little triggers hits here and there, I recently started moving my rig a few inches after it sitting for a while without takes…..and have gotten the odd fish here and there simply by moving it a bit……wierd, dont know if its the movement of the rig, or bad rig placement on my part, hense the movement bringing it into site, causing a take? any thoughts?

what was the weather like?? rainy?

  12. JeromeMoisand

@twitcher6666 I don’t really remember. Somewhat cloudy, I believe. But I don’t think this explains the furious activity. I’m 99% sure this was due to post-spawn hunger.

Have you done any using the method? Just to see what they do when a giant blob of paste comes crashing in.

  14. JeromeMoisand

@carpist Check my other videos, I did use method balls in some of them. To answer your question, it depends if they are already actively feeding or not. If they are, then they’d scatter away right after the crash and… come back a couple of minutes later. Doesn’t take long.

wow! great footage! do you have an out-of-water monitor to see you rig for positioning ? or can you see your camera from the bank?

  16. JeromeMoisand

@smallstreamfisherman Thanks. Yes, I have a monitor on the bank, connected by a long cable with the underwater camera.
